Life at Silverfox
Silverfox Farm and the Silverfox Equestrian Club (SEC) is pleased to offer superb horseback riding lessons, excellent training, horse boarding (indoors and outdoors), and monthly horse shows. We are thrilled to have clients from Toronto, Whitby, Port Perry, Brooklin, Uxbridge and the whole Durham Region.
Silverfox is located on 100 acres on the picturesque Oak Ridges Moraine just north of Whitby. The farm was originally built as a thoroughbred racing farm to compete with the historic Windfield Farms and E.P Taylor. Since that time the farm has had another barn and indoor arena added and continues to be a force in the horse community for horse boarding, horseback riding lessons and horse shows.
Clients at Silverfox have access to 40 oversized horse stalls, 75ft x 170ft indoor arena, 80ft x 200ft outdoor sand ring, and lots of room for trail riding. We offer indoor and outdoor horse board, depending on your preference and what is best for your horse. Horseback riding lessons are available on a weekly basis or when requested.
Silverfox staff are gifted at knowing what is best for each horses mental and physical well being. We love working with owners and their horses to provide excellent care and lessons that facilitate reaching the goals set by our clients.
Visitors are always welcome by appointment. Please book your appointment either on our lesson page or by phone or email.

Kristi Newman - Head Coach and Trainer
Silverfox is pleased to announce Kristi Newman as the head coach and trainer. Kristi has been trained by some of the world's top riders/trainers for over 25yrs and keeps current by continuing her own riding, training and education. She is a professional rider and is always excited to share her knowledge. She has set up an excellent program for our riding school based on the Equine Canada rider levels and her extensive training. We are excited to be a part of her continued success in the show ring and to have her at Silverfox to teach all of our coaches and students.
